About

I'm Ryan Bolick - a designer and engineer specializing in AI-driven products and human-centered interfaces.

I've helped build YC startups backed by GV and Matrix, designed FDA-cleared medical devices, and built a global design system used by over 100 designers. My work spans code documentation, collaborative writing, and interfaces that make complex systems feel simple. I care about craft, clarity, and making things that are delightful to use.

Lately, I've been building boutique tools through my studio Quarter Pixel Labs and working on a new edtech startup focused on authorship and attribution in academic writing in the AI era.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me behind a camera (Nikon Zf at the moment) or in my woodshop.
